Spy x Family Season 3 update: Spy x Family has finally locked in a release window for its much-awaited Season 3, and it’s landing as part of the Fall 2025 lineup. After a year-long wait since the anime wrapped up its second season and dropped its first movie, Spy x Family Code: White, fans are more than ready for what’s next. While new manga volumes in both Japanese and English kept readers busy, nothing really hits like seeing Loid, Yor, and Anya back on screen. The new promo poster doesn’t give much away but shows the Forgers back in action.

When is Spy x Family Season 3 releasing?
Spy x Family is officially coming back with its third season in October 2025. Based on Tatsuya Endo’s popular manga, the anime first hit screens in 2022. The show managed to pull huge viewership numbers, going head-to-head with big names like One Piece, Solo Leveling, and Demon Slayer.

The new promo poster was shared on the show’s official Japanese account on X (formerly Twitter). While it feels familiar, much like the previous season’s key art, it doesn’t offer much in terms of hints about the new season or which arcs the story will tackle. And for now, the episode count is still under wraps.

Spy x Family Season 3 where to watch?
For now, Spy x Family Season 3 is confirmed to stream on Crunchyroll. Apart from that, fans can also catch up on Seasons 1 and 2, which are available on popular OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and JioHotstar. After its Crunchyroll premiere, Season 3 is expected to drop on these platforms as well, though fans might have to wait a bit longer. The streaming will be available in English, Japanese, and Spanish languages.

What to expect from Spy x Family Season 3 plot?
While it’s still too early to pin down the exact plot, fan pages are circulating different theories. Many believe the new season might explore some of the manga’s most exciting storylines, while also picking up on the cliffhangers from Season 2. This includes threads tied to Loid’s top-secret mission, Operation Strix. According to Comic Book, fans can expect Spy x Family Season 3 to at least cover the Friendship Schemes and the Red Circus arcs. If that’s the case, we’ll probably see Anya trying to improve her friendship at school while also saving her classmates. On the other hand, Yor gets closer to one of the most important people in Ostania.

The anime scored a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, while audiences gave it an impressive 88%. Its first movie, Spy x Family Code: White, pulled in over $59 million at the global box office. The story follows the Forgers, a fake family brought together by Agent Twilight as part of his undercover mission to get close to Donovan Desmond, the leader of Ostania’s National Unity Party.
