Bigg Boss OTT 2 may have had a slow start but fans are now warming up to the drama. The Salman Khan-hosted show kickstarted last month with 13 celebrities. While initially, the reality show was planned for a six-week run, it has now been extended by another two weeks.

During the Weekend Ka Vaar episode on Saturday, Salman Khan lauded the contestants for entertaining the audience. He also informed them that since fans have been enjoying the show and getting the platform big numbers, the makers have decided to extend the show for another two weeks.

His statement got mixed reactions from the housemates as they tried to figure out their game plans for the extended period. With the show pushed for a fortnight, the new finale date is now August 13. Also, as per sources, makers are set to bring a couple of wildcards into the house to add to the drama. Evicted contestant Palak Purswani is also set to go back into the house, however, there is no clarity if she would be a guest or a wildcard.Apart from the big news, the Weekend Ka Vaar episode was quite a disappointing affair. Salman Khan schooled Falaq Naaz and Avinash Sachdev for playing safe in the game and also advised Bebika Dhurve for moving on from the Jad Hadid issue. He also invited Falaq’s sister, actor Shafaq Naaz, who tried to boost her sister’s confidence and asked her to be herself and play the game with full fervour.

However, the biggest shocker came with comedian-host Cyrus Broacha pleading with Salman and the Bigg Boss team to evict him from the show. The TV host shared that he has not been getting any sleep and with a scarcity of food, his health is getting affected. He shared that his diabetes is now borderline, leaving him worried. The Bigg Boss OTT 2 host tried to calm him down and even got Cyrus’ friend Kunal Vijaykar to join him on stage to convince Cyrus to stay.

As he kept on pressing on leaving and even told Salman that he will touch his feet, the latter reminded him how he would have to pay a hefty penalty if he leaves the show voluntarily. That eventually made Cyrus stop cribbing and he decided to stay in the show.

In a press statement, Salman Khan recently opened up about his interactions with housemates. He shared that he wouldn’t tolerate disrespect and violence in the show.
