The first trailer of Vishal Bhardwaj’s upcoming murder mystery series Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley is out, even though it has been a few months since the makers released the first episode on SonyLIV. The release of the first episode was relatively quiet and left viewers wanting more from this Agatha Christie-esque murder mystery and now, the trailer has teased some more clues.

Based on Agatha Christie’s The Sittaford Mystery, the show follows Wamiqa Gabbi’s Charlie as she tries to solve the murder case of Gulshan Grover’s character, as her boyfriend, played by Vivaan Shah, is framed for the murder. The show has a stellar cast which includes Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Neena Gupta, Imaad Shah, Lara Dutta, Priyanshu Painyuli, among others.

The first episode of Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley established Charlie as a detective who is known for solving mysteries – from the most redundant ones to those that can actually change people’s lives. Wamiqa, who plays the titular character here, was recently seen in Amazon Prime Video’s Jubilee as Nilofer. Wamiqa’s performance was widely appreciated in the series.

In an earlier statement, Vishal Bhardwaj said, “I grew up devouring all Agatha Christie mysterious tales. Her plots, characters and setting remain unparalleled in the genre and continue to excite storytellers even today. It has been an incredible journey collaborating with James Prichard, great-grandson of Agatha Christie, who always brought unique perspectives to our team. Sony LIV and Priti Shahani have been the perfect partners for me to adapt this thrilling and mysterious world.”

The show starts streaming on SonyLIV from September 27.
