Indian Police Force teaser: Rohit Shetty set to unleash more explosions, toss even more cars into air in Prime Video’s biggest Indian series

The highly anticipated teaser for filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s debut streaming series is here, and the promo video underscores that Indian Police Force will be yet another high-octane visual extravaganza that one expects from Shetty. The 62-second teaser, unveiled by the streaming giant Amazon Prime Video on Saturday, begins with the sound of a ticking timer. It soon becomes apparent where this noise is coming from as a series of blasts rock a densely populated area.

Amidst the raging turmoil enter the cops, played by Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Vivek Oberoi, among others, exuding confidence and swagger as they take centrestage in the “next chapter of the cop universe.” As the teaser progresses, it becomes evident that Rohit Shetty is poised to unleash more explosions and send even more cars soaring into the air than ever before.

The seven-part action series promises a blend of suspense, thrills and drama, with the official statement from the makers emphasising that Indian Police Force serves as a heartfelt tribute to the selfless service, unconditional commitment, and fierce patriotism of cops across the country who put everything on the line in their call of duty to keep us safe.

“My only aim is to make it big. The biggest series. We have been watching a lot of series from abroad. Nothing wrong with it but it’s time something has to go from India. And that’s what I want to do,” Rohit Shetty said in April last year, during the official announcement of the series.

On the occasion, Sidharth Malhotra said that it was Shetty’s vision and execution that made his walk look so good in the teaser. “It has been my dream to collaborate with him. After a successful release on Amazon with Shershaah, we are looking forward to this exciting project. It’s my most special project,” he said.

The series, scheduled to premiere exclusively on Prime Video from January 19, 2024, onwards, also features Shweta Tiwari, Nikitin Dheer, Rituraj Singh, Mukesh Rishi, and Lalit Parimoo in pivotal roles. Indian Police Force is the streaming spinoff to Shetty’s cop universe, which includes theatrical hits such as Singham, Singham Returns, Sooryavanshi, Simmba, and the upcoming Singham 3.
