Excitement of Season 2
Ab toh mazak ban gaya, November mein aapko aur ek dekhne milega. I never thought in childhood that I would act. I used to dance and I was happy about that. Some experienced and renowned people saw that potential in me and offered me acting jobs. If the Industry’s successful people are saying it, then I should work on it. In the same way, other intelligent or renowned directors think I should be a part of those personality types, those characters. Who am I to argue with them? I think I will capitalize on it, and there is nothing wrong with it. And I think till now, too, it has been, I wouldn’t say very easy, but it has been manageable. I bring out completely different aspects to the characters that I’m playing, especially as a police officer or as an army officer or as any other person with an intimidating personality. But I wish it was entirely different. It’s not like that. So, this is diametrically opposite to the kind of roles that I get from my inherent personality. That is why this holds an even more special place when it comes to my artwork and validation.
On his camaraderie with Pooja Gor in season 2
I think Pooja is a very intelligent actor. She’s very articulate. She knows exactly what she wants to do. And you can deconstruct the things that you would want from her to bring your own character, to make your character real. And when I started interacting with her, I hadn’t worked with her till then, and, of course, she’s coming in a universe that we created for a period of eight months. Everyone was, I wouldn’t say apprehensive, but everyone was like yeh kaise karenge, woh kaise hoga, ya Smooth sailing hoga ya nahi. But I think we got along immediately. And, I was so, so satisfied because, when Ravi’s and Durga’s characters come face to face, there is so much underlying, there are so many things going on underneath, and Pooja was the perfect candidate to execute.
