Bandish Bandits 2 Update: Prime Video and T-Series Music today unveiled the video of the soulful and melodious ‘Nirmohiya’ from the album of Prime Video’s upcoming hindi original series, Bandish Bandits season two. A stunning example of the series’ innovative approach to classical music, ‘Nirmohiya’, with its soul-stirring lyrics, breathtaking vocals, and the seamless fusion of traditional and modern sounds, the track is poised to become an instant classic.
Composed by Prithvi Gandharv, with lyrics by Mandy Gill, ‘Nirmohiya’ takes listeners on a deep emotional journey of self-realization, spiritual yearning, and passionate love. The lyrics delve into a quest for truth and inner peace, while the melody weaves together a rich texture of classical Indian instruments with a modern edge.
The track is brought to life through the mesmerizing voices of Prithvi Gandharv and Suvarna Tiwari, whose vocals add a profound depth to the composition. ‘Nirmohiya’ captures a raw, emotional intensity that beautifully aligns with the series, immersing listeners in a world where music is not just heard but felt, The track highlights how classical music transcends time and connects directly to the soul.
Prithvi Gandharv, one of the vocalists in the series who is also the composer of the song, reflects, “My compositions are mostly like a blessing, they come to me and the word “Nirmohiya” came with it like an aamad. When we started the work for Bandish Bandits Season two and I heard the final lyrics of ‘Nirmohiya,’ I immediately knew this song would be special. It touches hearts on a bigger spectrum that are both universal and deeply personal. The process of bringing it to life was absolutely incredible for me.”
Suvarna Tiwari, who also lends her voice to the track, adds, “What sets this song apart is how it marries the classical with the contemporary elements. It’s timeless, yet undeniably fresh and relevant. I’m so proud to be a part of this project that brings classical music into the modern spotlight.”
The track features classical bols, thekas, and tihai bringing a harmonious balance to the soundtrack, and complementing the song’s heartfelt essence, making ‘Nirmohiya,’ a powerful listening experience and further showcasing Bandish Bandits’ A-game in the world of classical music.
Produced by Amritpal Singh Bindra, and directed by Anand Tiwari, the Leo Media Collective Private Limited production will see the return of its versatile cast including Ritwik Bhowmik, Shreya Chaudhry, Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, and Kunaal Roy Kapur, along with new cast members, Divya Dutta, Rohan Gurbaxani, Yashaswini Dayama, Aaliyah Qureshi, and Saurabh Nayyar in pivotal roles. Bandish Bandits Season two will exclusively premiere on December 13 on Prime Video in India and in over 240 countries and territories worldwide.
