It’s been just two days since Bigg Boss OTT 2 launched, but the contestants have been serving drama in abundance. From Jiya Shankar-Palak Purswani talking about their now sour friendship to Manisha Rani and Akanksha Puri trying to catch Jad Hadid’s attention, fans of the show have plenty to talk about. Amid this, Aaliya Siddiqui also opened up about her relationship with estranged husband Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and recalled their love story while speaking to co-contestant Cyrus Broacha.
In the latest episode, Aaliya shared that she knew Nawaz’s brother, who was then the actor’s assistant. Aaliya was living as a paying guest and was thrown out of her house for some reason. Nawaz’s brother asked her to stay with them till she finds a new place. She remembered that she wasn’t comfortable initially, but said yes. “I saw his photos first and I liked his eyes. His eyes are very sexy. Then we met and fell in love. Then we started living together. This has been our journey,” she shared. Cyrus also quizzed her about the new man in her life, to which she shared that he is Italian and a ‘very beautiful’ person. She laughed and said that one of her friends played Cupid for them.

“So he said he liked my eyes and then we started talking. He is a software engineer. He gives you respect and love. He makes you feel protected and chivalrous. That’s why I came into this relationship openly after 19 years. I wasn’t scared,” Aaliya shared with Cyrus. And when he asked her if she plans to tie the knot with him, Aaliya dismissed it, saying she doesn’t plan to get married again.
Before entering the show, Aaliya had spoken about finding love again and how she hopes Nawazuddin would realise that she was wronged in their relationship. “He is a really great friend of mine. Someone more than a friend. But we aren’t planning on getting married or anything. I haven’t committed that to anyone. I want to live my life with my kids and start my own career. We all need mental support, a companion in life, and he’s the one for me.”

She also shared that given Nawaz’s job, they haven’t lived together a lot, and he might be in for a surprise to see her real side on the show. However, Aaliya is sure that the two won’t give their marriage a second chance as things have turned too bitter now. “It’s all over. We are both trying our best to keep the bond cordial and respectful between us for our kids. We want them to have a normal and happy future. To be honest, I have been hurt more by people around him than Nawaz himself. I can just hope that he watches the show to realise I am not wrong.”
