What to watch on OTT this week: Japanese filmmaker Takeshi Kitano’s Broken Rage to Dhoom Dhaam, a movie about an oddball couple caught in a chaotic chase, here’s your watch list for the weekend.

Hailed as the ‘strangest’ movie of 2025 by some critics, this is a genre-bending feature from Japanese filmmaker Takeshi Kitano, who has directed, written and acted in it. The film follows a hitman, Nezumi (played by Takeshi Kitano), fighting for his survival when he’s caught between the police and yakuza. But in the second half, the gritty crime-action thriller takes an unexpected turn, evolving into a self-parodying comedy that retells the same story with a captivatingly humorous touch. The cast features Kitano alongside Tadanobu Asano and Nao Ômori. The film premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival in 2024.

In Rishab Seth-directed Dhoom Dhaam, a wedding night that starts with a “yes” and ends in absolute mayhem. Yami Gautam and Pratik Gandhi’s never-before-seen roles ignite this rollercoaster of a night, where every moment spirals into the next wild surprise. At the heart of the madness is Koyal, played by Yami Gautam Dhar. “Koyal is unpredictable, sharp, and always ten steps ahead of everyone else in the film. She thrives in chaos, and that was such an exciting space for me to explore,” says Yami. Gandhi, who has emerged as a fascinating artist in recent years, “What’s exciting about Dhoom Dhoom is that it’s a fresh take on the genre, blending humor with high-stakes action in a way that keeps you on your toes.” The film is written by Aditya Dhar, Aarsh Vora and Seth.
This science-fiction thriller follows the story of a perfect helper, who turns into the ultimate nightmare. When struggling father Nick (Michele Morrone) brings home Alice (Megan Fox), a lifelike AI assistant, she’s everything the family needs—smart, capable, and a little too perfect. But as Alice grows more self-aware, her helpful demeanor warps into something far more sinister. Subservience plunges into a high-stakes battle between man and machine in this thriller which is directed by SK Dale and written by Will Honley and April Maguire.
A man falls for his boss’ daughter and convinces his friend to pose as his father to gain approval for their marriage, resulting in a hilarious series of misunderstandings. Directed by Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi, this romantic drama features Nithya Menen and Ravi Mohan as lead actors. The light-hearted film explores contemporary ideas of marriage and parenting.
Directed by debutant Vijay Karthikeyaa, this high-octane Kannada movie featuring Kichcha Sudeep will stream from February 15. Max follows Police Inspector Arjun Mahakshay (Kichcha Sudeep), who takes charge of a local police station just a day before his suspension. When two young men, the sons of powerful ministers, die mysteriously in the station, Arjun must navigate a deadly web of political pressure and corruption. With his colleagues’ lives at risk, Arjun has only a few hours to uncover the truth and save them. Alongside Sudeep, the film features an ensemble cast that includes Varalakshmi Sarathkumar, Samyukta Hornad, Sukrutha Wagle, Sunil, and Anirudh Bhat.
